Unlocking the mundane
Unlocking the mundane was a collective design research as a part of Design processes module. The course demanded us to choose a mundane task and identify the design issues and challenges a user faces but is over looked upon. Further more, to design a research brief, design challenges and three possible ideation/solutions.

Observation
We began by discussing where each one of us demonstrated live how they operate their locks & doors. The session involved asking about different scenarios, about different users, and the user's thoughts - the questions often led to the user realizing a perspective that they had ignored or adapted to. The group members made observations individually and as a group. We tried to look at the activity from a wide lens to identify prospective scenarios. However, we had to deal with certain limitations as well, primarily one of observing virtually. To overcome this, group members uploaded photos & videos of their doors for reference. We consciously tried to avoid making observations with a problem-solution in mind.
